At Babbel, I was part of the mobile product design team, working on a rapidly scaling edtech product used worldwide. My role focused on designing and refining user flows for iOS and Android, working closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists, marketers and researchers.
I helped pioneer innovation on emerging platforms, including Babbel’s Apple Watch app, which extended the learning experience to a new device and was positively received by users. I also encouraged experimentation within the team, from playful micro-interactions to exploring opportunities in new iOS releases.
Collaboration was central to my role: I worked with data and research teams to ground our design decisions in evidence, ensuring that updates were both user-centric and business-aligned. I also drove regular dialogue with marketing, helping maintain consistency across product and brand.
As part of my role, I took on team leadership responsibilities, guiding the Product Design team and introducing regular touchpoints to improve alignment across our distributed group.
During my time at Babbel, the product reached 1M+ users, with around half active on mobile. The apps were repeatedly featured in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, reflecting the impact of our design work.
My roles: Product Design, Mobile UX/UI, Team Leadership
Collaborators: Engineering, Product, Data Science, UX Research, Marketing
