The Babbel Apple Watch app began as a hackathon experiment in late 2014. I was a core contributor from concept to prototype, helping shape the vision of “contextual learning” - enabling users to discover words and phrases tied to their current location.

Working closely with a senior iOS engineer, we moved quickly from concept to functional prototype. Our team was later invited to Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino to refine and test the app on pre-launch devices, collaborating directly with Apple’s in-house Design and Developer teams.

Post-launch, Apple heavily promoted the app across multiple channels. It was featured on the Apple Watch launch site, in the App Store, and briefly during the keynote presentation, giving Babbel high visibility in the early wearables market.
